David Hyde

Peter Saxton
Biography and Art Buyer
Waterstone's

Peter joined Waterstone's in 1999 after a long career in the railway industry. After a spell in a branch he moved to head office and worked in the Bibliographic department before being appointed to the new position of Independent Publisher Coordinator. This involved liasing with smaller publishers that didn't have a current relationship with Waterstones and help them through the process of getting their books into shops. He then became Non-Fiction Buyer, looking after the front of store promotions across non-fiction, then finally took the Biography and Art Buyer position under Waterstone's category management process. So he now looks after books in these genres throughout their lives, from front of store through to core stock.
