Steve is the Production Director of Butler Tanner & Dennis which is the leading producer of trade colour books in the United Kingdom. He has a wealth of experience in the field of book manufacture having worked in the sector for 25 years".

David Hyde
Production Director
Simon & Schuster

David joined Simon and Schuster as Production Director in 2007 following a fourteen year career in trade and medical publishing. He currently oversees manufacture of Simon and Schuster properties for the UK, co-edition and export markets. The current S&S list includes biographies, adult fiction, reference, business and customer publishing, children's picture books, fiction and licensed character merchandise. David has extensive experience in the area of children's novelty books and is particularly interested in children's book plus and paper engineering.

Siân Jones

Siân has worked for Waterstones since 1997 after graduating with a degree in Cultural Studies and a brief foray into the fashion business. She started as a book seller in the Cheltenham Branch. A move to head office came in 2000 where a great deal of her career focussed on range and managing backlist for many genres, including art and design. For the last three years Siân has had a buying role focussing attention on Food and Drink, Gardening, Spirituality and Religion books. Jacket and page layout are really important for Siân and she still maintains a huge personal interest in art and design.

Paul Martin

Paul Martin is Managing Director of The Page Design Consultancy, a small award winning design agency. Before Paul started The Page he worked as Senior Art Director for Dennis and Beyond part of Dennis Publishing.

He then worked as a freelance art director for 5 years on various magazines and for companies such as John Brown Publishing, Citrus Publishing, McCann Erikson, Publicis Blueprint, Atom Publishing and Square One Group.

Paul loves a good book to read and has a real passion for GOOD book design and printing.
