Theresa Lang has worked in the printing industry for 13 years. Following a period of time based in Sweden as Managing Director of Infoprint Nordics, Begium and Netherlands, she is now based in London as Managing Director of Ricoh Infoprint Solutions. Prior to moving to Infoprint EMEA, she held positions marketing and sales in the US, including Director of worldwide distributed print solution offerings with IBM Printing Divisions. She has a BS in marketing and computer sciences from Niagara University, New York and an executive MBA from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana. She's an avid book reader with a wide range of tastes and interests.
Butler Tanner & Dennis Ltd
Steve is the Production Director of Butler Tanner & Dennis which is the leading producer of trade colour books in the United Kingdom. He has a wealth of experience in the field of book manufacture having worked in the sector for 25 years.
Retail Books Buyer
Sian is the specialist books buyer at English Heritage, stocking books for the 100+ retail sites across the organisation, from Stonehenge to Tintagel to Hadrian's Wall. Range knowledge is essential to this role! Previous to this she worked for 12 years at Waterstones, starting in 1997 after graduating with a degree in Cultural Studies and a brief foray into the fashion business. Starting as a book seller in the Cheltenham Branch, Sian moved to head office, with a focus on range and backlist, as well as campaign buying for major categories such as Food and Drink. Jacket and page layout are really important for Siân and she has a huge personal interest in art and design.
The Page Design Consultancy Ltd
Nathan Taverner is a Senior Designer at The Page Design Consultancy, a small award winning design agency. Nathan graduated from the Lincoln School of Art & Design and is a previous winner of the Student category. Since joining The Page, he has gone from strength to strength and produced last year's outstanding ‘Book of the Night' for the 2009 awards. Nathan has a love for good book design and a particular eye for typographic detail.
After A levels Andy joined Padstow based book printer TJ Press as a press assistant, he progressed within the company to Production Director, Works Director and since 1997 Commercial Director. In 2005 with Chief Executive Angus Clark the pair acquired the by now well known award winning book manufacturer TJ International. Andy, Angus and TJI have been associated with the BPIF and The British Book Design and Production Awards in particular over a number of years and Andy is delighted to be involved as a judge this year.
