Entries for the Awards must be published, designed, typeset, printed or bound by the entrant in the UK.

The one exception is the Best British Book category, which can be entered only with books produced entirely in the UK. The judges will be looking for exceptional design, free of typographical errors, with particular emphasis given to excellent layout and standards of typography.

All books published from 1 July 2011 until 30 June 2012 are eligible for entry in this year's awards. The deadline for entries is Friday 6 July 2012.
