David Button
Managing Director
4edge

David is the Managing Director of 4edge Limited which are specialist in quality short run book production. Following a five year apprenticeship, he moved into digital production in the mid 1990's. In 2003, he founded 4edge Limited with the sole aim to produce quality short run books and journals digitally. In addition to 4edge, he consults for various organizations (most recently the Qatar Foundation in the Middle East) on best practices and equipment for book production.

Philip Downer
Front of Store

Philip Downer has enjoyed a long career in retail, with senior roles for many well-known companies, including Borders UK and Waterstones. He has worked extensively in the UK and the US, and is now running Front of Store, which offers consultancy support to retailers and retail suppliers. Philip is a regular commentator on the book trade, with recent conference appearances in Frankfurt, New York and London. He is a member of the Publishing Advisory Board at Kingston University.

Steve Simmonds
Creative Director
RARE

Steve has 15 years experience working in the design industry. After graduating from The Kent Institute for the Creative Arts Steve spent his formative years working across both print and digital design. Following several years working freelance across various London Agencies and Publishing houses Steve co-founded RARE Design back in 2007.

Although now, predominantly a digitally focused agency, Steve has always had a passion for good design and stunning typography. An ethos he still holds at RARE, irrespective of the final medium.
